Procurement software comparison

Ten products, nine capabilities, one table.

The table reflects what each vendor describes on its official website. A full dot: the capability is clearly presented. A half dot: it exists in a more limited form. A dash: we did not find it in the documentation we read, which does not prove it is missing.

Takeaways

What the table shows

SEMS is the only product in the table whose documentation brings together e-sourcing, full procure-to-pay and budget planning. That is the main reason it ranks first.

The large suites, Ivalua, Coupa, SAP Ariba and Jaggaer, cover the whole Source-to-Pay scope. What sets them apart is mostly their audience and ecosystem: a supplier network for Coupa and SAP, direct materials for Ivalua, research and the public sector for Jaggaer. Esker starts from accounts payable.

Precoro, Odoo and Proactis target smaller or more specialized organizations, with a lighter rollout. akirolabs plays in a different league: it is a strategy tool, to pair with an operational suite.
